JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Process Engineer
LOCATION: Dallas/Ft Worth, TX area
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Technology or significant relevant work experience.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing production area.
To ensure equipment safety, part quality, machine availability and cost reduction in an effort to assist machining operations in meeting policy deployment goals and KPI (Key Performance Indicators) targets.
To facilitate an environment of TPM and PM of equipment and reduction of unplanned downtime.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CNC Machining Experience through Internships/Co-ops strongly desired.
Hands-on general manufacturing/machining experience with supporting courses of problem solving, lean manufacturing, diagnostic training and accompanying math is a plus.
At least 3-5 years experience as an Engineer in a machining production environment, around CNC machining equipment.
Knowledge and skills required:
Machine/Process Design
Tooling Design
Comprehensive knowledge of equipment for machining, processing, and assembly. CNC machining equipment experience/knowledge.
Management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities involving as many as three to five major projects simultaneously.
DUTIES:
Design, develop and implement equipment and processes for manufacturing operations as needed to support Value Stream Model implementation.
Manage cost reduction projects in all areas of manufacturing.
Provide production area with training on machines. Machine tools, process and inspection to perform daily productions needs.
Establish min/max tooling requirements through history of usage data and reliability studies.
Assist manufacturing production area in setup and production problems via various troubleshooting and problem solving techniques.
Create, control and issue process sheets to production sub-plant. Specify materials, treatments, machinery and tooling.
Design and/or make design changes in materials, machines or machine tools utilizing the ECN documentation procedure. Implementation of quick change tooling programs in accordance with SMED practices.
Participation in kaizen teams and assumes kaizen team leader position as necessary. Implement and sustain 5S in offices and work areas.
Utilization of Company Business System tools for problem solving.
Provide technical assistance and engineering support to the manufacturing production area.

Purpose of Position

Specify, purchase, and assemble components for robotic installations and upgrades.
